Yomitaku is a news app for foreigners living in Japan, especially Vietnamese, with Japanese proficiency around N3-N4 (roughly 2% of the population). The project below had been carried out during the final preparation before the app was released in the early 2022.
The design request for Yomitaku includes a logo, a landing page and a series of promotional images on App Store.
There were 4 logo options, the first one was chosen. The logo used 2 Japan symbols: the national flag and a orizuru (paper crane), with a newspaper icon.
